Culture of India Magazine
Client
Ramraj Cotton
Year
2025
Culture of India is a photographic magazine designed to reimagine how Indian heritage is presented to a new generation. While most publications rely on dense text and traditional layouts, this magazine takes a bold, modern approach—minimal, visually striking, and curated to feel fresh on any shelf.
Instead of crowded covers shouting for attention, we used a calm, minimal design in Ramraj Cotton’s green and yellow palette. The contrast is intentional: a quieter presence that stands apart from the typical clutter of mainstream magazines. Inside, the balance of immersive photography and crisp, punchy writing makes cultural stories accessible without feeling watered down or overly elaborate.
The magazine is part of Ramraj’s broader initiative to champion Indian culture without overt advertising. Subtle campaigns and a carefully chosen mix of diverse articles help connect with younger, English-speaking audiences who might not have engaged with the brand before. Every design choice—from the restrained typography to the clean editorial flow—aims to package tradition in a way that feels relevant, collectible, and distinctly contemporary.
